Outbound Investment: Challenges and Solutions Dialogue on Jiangsu Enterprises’ Outbound Investment

On July 18,2014, “Outbound Investment: Challenges and Solutions & Dialogue on JiangsuEnterprises’ Outbound Investment” co-hosted by Jiangsu Association forFriendship and International Exchanges (JAFIE) and Shanghai Institute forInternational Strategic Studies was held at Jiangsu Yishiyuan Hotel.

Liu Yongzhong, Vice Chairman of theStanding Committee of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress, delivered a speechat the meeting. Wang Xinkui, former Vice Chairman of All-China Federation ofIndustry and Commerce, former Vice Chairman of Shanghai Political ConsultativeConference and President of Shanghai WTO Affairs Consultation Center, and YangJiemian, Chairman of Shanghai Institute for International Strategic Studies,delivered keynote speeches titled “A new round of economic globalization, theconstruction of Shanghai Free Trade Zone and Chinese enterprises goingglobally” and “the current international situation, risks and newopportunities” respectively. Mr. Guesten Helmut, Chairman of Nanjing Chapter of theEuropean Union Chamber of Commerce, and Henry Zhao, national advisor of theRepublic of Turkey Prime Ministry Investment Support and Promotion Agency, elaboratedon China’s investment in EU and Turkey respectively. Senior executives fromYingke Law Firm, AIG Insurance, Insight Consulting, Cathay Capital PrivateEquity, Deloitte and Bank of China Jiangsu Branch, representatives of more than50 key enterprises engaged in Jiangsu’s overseas investment and economiccooperation, and partial members of JAFIE attended the meeting.
