Yangtze River International Forum & “Belt and Road” Summit was grandly inaugurated in Lianyungang

From November 15to 16, 2016, Yangtze River International Forum & “Belt and Road” Summit andthe 3rdChina (Lianyungang) Silk Road International Logistics Expo,hosted by Jiangsu Association for Friendship and International Exchanges(JAFIE) and sponsored by Lianyungang Municipal Government, was grandlyinaugurated at Lianyungang Huaguoshan Hotel.

Teng Yong,Executive Vice Chairman of JAFIE, Member of the Standing Committee of JiangsuPeople’s Congress and Director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of JiangsuProvincial People’s Congress, presided over the opening ceremony. Lin Xiangguo,Chairman of JAFIE and former Executive Deputy Director of the Standing Committeeof Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress, and Xiang Xuelong, Mayor ofLianyungang Municipal People’s Government, addressed the summit respectively.Zhang Huaixi, Vice Chairman of the 10th CPPCC National Committee, announced theopening of the summit.

A total of morethan 200 distinguished guests attended this summit, including Jiangsuprovincial and municipal leaders, diplomatic envoys to China and personnel incharge of business organizations from the countries and regions along the “Beltand Road” as well as neighboring countries, renowned economists and experts oninternational relations both at home and abroad, business leaders, enterpriserepresentatives, partial council members of JAFIE, etc.
