Teng Yong, Executive Vice President of JAFIE, attends the Sino-Philippines International Education Press Conference for Health & Elderly Care Talents

On the afternoon of April 24th, 2023, the Sino-Philippines International Education Press Conference for Health & Elderly Care Talents was convened at Jiangsu Yishiyuan Hotel. This event is specially supported by JAFIE, co-organized by Jiangsu Elderly Industry Association, Jiangsu Modern Service Industry Federation and AFEP, and undertaken by Jiangsu Yuexin Elderly-Care Industry Group,SeniorDirector of JAFIE.

Prof. Bonifacio G. Gabales Jr., Senior Vice President ofUSEP, and Prof. Maria Luisa B. Faunillan, Vice President for Administration of USEP attended the conference. Hou Xueyuan, Chairman oftheLegislative Affairs Committee of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress, Guo Minwen, Senior Director of JAFIE, Zhao Zhiming, President of Jiangsu Modern Service Industry Federation, Zhao Jun, Vice Chairman oftheSocial Development Affairs Committee of Nanjing Municipal People’s Congress, Zhang Maolin, Vice President of Nanjing Normal University of Special Education were also invited to the event.

In his speech, Executive Vice President Teng pointed out that the Sino-Philippines International Education Press Conference for Health & Elderly Care Talents is a social affair-related conference with the significance of implementingthe “Belt and Road” Initiative, improving people’s livelihood and hearing public opinion, which deserves wide attention and active support. With the development of the health & elderly care industry, our living standard has improved, and our consumption structure is undergoing transformation and upgrading, whichhas led to the increasing requirements for the care and nursing industry, thus professional training of health & elderly care talents is faced with new development opportunities. The Philippines is a friendly neighbor of China, close to our country in terms of geography, blood, and people, and has an international leading position in the market of health & elderly care and home care industry. From the viewpoint of teaching theory, cultivation mode, service concept, and technical skills of international cultivation of health & elderly care talents, it is worthwhile for international counterparts to learn from them carefully. It is glad to see that Jiangsu Yuexin Elderly-Care Industry Group, senior director of JAFIE, has always followed the economic and technological decisions of the country, insisted on the continuous exploration of the health & elderly care industry, actively innovated high-quality services, and planned for the cultivation of high-end skilled professionals with a modernized and internationalized perspective. We believe that by means of friendly cooperation with foreign countries, we will be able to promote the joint development of health & elderly care work and modern services and explore new modes of pursuing family economic and technical exchanges with foreign countries via the cooperation platform of the AFEP. Through cooperation with AFEP and joint skill cultivation, we are expected to achieve the integration of health & elderly care management and home economic technology, constantly create new systems and new business forms, and realize the integration of government, industry, academia, research, and application, so as to jointly promote the sustainable development of the country’s wealth and the people’s strength.

Jiang Xiao, Commercial Representative of JAFIE in thePhilippines, representatives of some provincial and municipal home-based elderly care associations, elderly care service enterprises and institutions, representatives of educational enterprises and institutions, as well as representatives of media, a total of over 100 people, attended the conference.
