The Delegation of the State legislative Leaders Foundation visits JAFIE

On November 1^st, 2023, a delegation of leaders from the State Legislative Leaders Foundation, including Robert Hertzberg, Senior Advisor and Former Majority Leader of the California Senate, Jane Jones, Speaker Pro Tempore of the Georgia House of Representatives, David Sokola, President Pro Tempore of the Delaware Senate, and Laura Hall, Alabama House of Representatives, visited JAFIE.

Lin Xiangguo, Chairman of JAFIE, warmly welcomed the visiting guests by showing them around and introducing JAFIE. He stated that Jiangsu Province features a wide history of friendly exchanges with the states of the U. S., and the two sides have closely cooperated in the fields of economy and trade, science and technology, and culture. Since its establishment, JAFIE has been dedicated to promoting friendly exchanges and cooperation between Jiangsu and overseas partners. He expressed the hope that through this exchange, mutual understanding and friendship between the two regions would be further deepened.

Robert Herzberg and his colleagues expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and spoke highly of the contribution made by the JAFIE to the friendly exchanges between Jiangsu and the states of the U.S. They said that they would actively promote the friendly exchanges between the states of the U.S. and Jiangsu Province, hoping that through this visit, the two sides would enhance mutual understanding and explore the possibility of cooperation between the two places in the fields of economy, culture, and education. Mr. Herzberg also highly praised the “Yangtze River International Forum” and looked forward to the opportunity to speak at the forum and interact with each other in the future.

This visit witnessed an important exchange activity between JAFIE and the State Legislative Leaders Foundation, which has injected new vitality into the friendly exchanges between Jiangsu Province and the U.S. and opened up broader prospects for cooperation between the two sides in various fields.

Teng Yong, Senior Vice Chairman of JAFIE, Jiang Jinbing, Director of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, and other leaders attended this event.
