JAFIE Party Branch develops education on the history of revolution and party-building activities at Shangmatai, Guannan County

On June 19, the JAFIE Party Branch visited Shangmatai, Guannan County in Lianyungang City to conduct themed party-building activities focusing on education on the history of revolution. President Lin Xiangguo, Executive Vice President Teng Yong, along with other council leaders and some directors of JAFIE participated in the event. Liu Dun, Director of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Guannan County, accompanied the delegation for the visit and survey.

Shangmatai, located in Matai Village, Zhangdian Town, Guannan County, Lianyungang City, is renowned as “Little Moscow” and “Little Yan’an” of northern Jiangsu. Surrounded by water on three sides, it serves as a crucial transportation hub between north and south. Historically, it served as the most significant operational center for the Communist Party in the Dongguanshu area. Revolutionary figures such as Liu Shaoqi, Liu Zhen, Hong Xuezhi, Liu Ruilong, Jin Ming, and Yang Chun once fought or left their footprints here, imbuing the area with a profound cultural heritage about the history of revolution.

The JAFIE Party Branch visited the revolutionary education base in Shangmatai, including the Revolutionary Exhibition Hall, the underground liaison stations, Li Baoqing’s former residence, and the Party education school, etc. At the Revolutionary Exhibition Hall, members of the Party Branch retraced the footsteps of revolutionary predecessors, carefully studying each martyr’s biography and revolutionary artifacts, attentively listening to stories of revolution in Shangmatai, and deeply honoring the glorious memory of the martyrs.

The Revolutionary Culture and Integrity Education Museum narrates revolutionary history through personal stories, showcasing the exemplary integrity and noble characters of revolutionary predecessors. Using physical artifacts, text, images, and videos, visitors are allowed to understand the vibrant personalities and stories behind them. Besides, the museum provides insights into the Communist Party's ancestors’ tenacious struggle, unremitting efforts, integrity, and selfless dedication during the Revolutionary War era, fostering a deep appreciation for their lofty ideals of serving the people and selfless dedication.

Studying the Revolutionary Integrity Culture and inheriting the Party’s integrity genes, the JAFIE Party Branch organized a thorough study of the newly revised “Disciplinary Measures of the Communist Party of China”. This included combining concentrated study of Party disciplinary documents with field visits to revolutionary education bases. These efforts aim to deepen and solidify Party building and integrity culture education, laying a solid foundation for clean and upright thinking.

The JAFIE Party Branch also visited renowned enterprises locally to understand the local economic and social development.
