Shao Weiming receives friends from Argentina

On May 13, Shao Weiming, Executive Vice President ofJAFIE, warmly received Chen Yang, President of the Jiangsu Association of Fellow Townsmen in Argentina, at JAFIE.

Shao Weiming gave a brief introductionof JAFIE and its recent achievements in promoting international friendship and exchanges. He noted that the Association has long been committed to fostering people-to-people diplomacy and cooperation between Jiangsu and countries worldwide. He expressed the hope that, through President Chen’s efforts, ties and collaboration between Jiangsu and Argentina could be furtherenhanced.

Chen Yang shared the development of the Jiangsu Association of Fellow Townsmen in Argentina and its efforts in promoting cultural exchange and economic cooperation between China and Argentina. He stated that the association, as a bridge connecting the homeland with overseas Chinese, expected to strengthen ties with JAFIE and work together to build a broader platform for cooperation between Jiangsu and Argentina across multiple fields.

Zhang Hong,Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress,and Wang Jian, Secretary-General ofJAFIE, accompanied the reception.

Note:Chen Yang, a native of Yangzhou, Jiangsu, isserving as President of the Jiangsu Association of Fellow Townsmen in Argentina, Vice President of the Argentina-China Peaceful Reunification Promotion Association, and Chairman ofElephant Import & Export Trading Co., Ltd. in Argentina. Having been based in Buenos Aires for decades, he has long been committed to promoting China-Argentina friendship. He has organized and hosted multiple visits from Jiangsu provincial and municipal friendship delegations to Argentina and maintained close ties and economic cooperation with Jiangsu. His company imports and distributes 3C products and wines, including mobile phone accessories, headphones, speakers, electrical appliances, cables, and small household electronics.
