JAFIE President’s Office Meeting Convened

On February 4, President Qu Futian chaired thePresident's Office Meeting of the Jiangsu Association for Friendship andInternational Cooperation. The meeting was attended by Executive Vice PresidentShao Weiming, Vice Presidents Si Jinquan and Che Jie, Secretary-General WangJian, Supervisor Gong Xumin, and Party Branch Secretary Guo Minwen.

During themeeting, the attendees reviewed and revised the work report for the SecondMeeting of the Third Council of JAFIE. They also deliberated and finalized theagenda for this meeting, approving the nominations for additional councilmembers. The meeting further agreed to invite Zha Liyou, former Chief Counseland Deputy Consul-General of the Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco,and former Consul-General of the Chinese Consulate General in Kolkata, todeliver a special report on “How to Effectively Conduct Sino-U.S.Non-Governmental Diplomacy: A Case Study of Friendly Exchanges between LocalLegislatures.” Additionally, the meeting addressed matters concerning Partybuilding and other organizational affairs.
